History

These two Coast redwood trees were burned badly in the deadly Tubbs Fire that occurred in October, 2017 in Santa Rosa, CA. They stood proudly along a busy road in a small neighborhood. Although the Coast redwood species is very tolerant to whatever nature throws its way, especially fire damage, these trees unfortunately could not survive || The Tubbs Fire was a wildfire in Northern California during October 2017. At the time, the Tubbs Fire was the most destructive wildfire in California history, burning parts of Napa, Sonoma, and Lake counties, inflicting its greatest losses in the city of Santa Ros, CA. The fire burned a total of 36,807 acres across Northern California.
