Location | Lombard St, San Francisco, CA | 37.801972, -122.419711 |
Reason for Removal | Trees could not be stable due to major excavation and root pruning. Arborist Now tried to convince the developer to salvage the second tree, but it eventually came down. The logs were milled on site with Alaskan Mill and hauled by hand. |
Date of Removal | 02/01/2015 |
History | The tree was beloved by the residents in the surrounding neighborhoods, but unfortunately needed to be removed due to construction, as well as instability due to root rot. Our Arborist Now, Inc team tried to convince the developer not remove the tree, but it eventually came down after permits were eventually to remove after the protest. So Arbor Upcycle of course salvaged the logs and milled them onsite. |
